OWNER RESPESS INJURED BY A FALL. Jerome B. Respess, thoroughbred race horse breeder and owner, is in the Booth Memorial Hospital, Covington, Ky., with a broken collar bone, and satisfied to let it go at that. Respess mistook a door leading to the cellar for one leading to the dining room and fell down the stairway. AVhen restored to consciousness he searched his pockets for a match but was unable to find one. Mrs. Respess and the maid then heard his cries for help. Dr. C. R. Slater was called and ordered him sent to the hospital. Itespess was unaware that he was lving in a pool of gasoline when he was searching his pockets for matches.
