f COMFORTABLE AGGREGATE WON FOR H. W. SAGE BY HIS GOOD BAND OF STEEPLECHASERS THIS YEAR j x, . 4 Of the timhertoppers doing service across country for II. "W. Sage this year, the Out of Reach gelding. Pebeto. was best and a downright good one in his branch of racing. Included in his five victories were such closed events of high importance in stoeplcchasing as the Meadowbrook, Saratoga and Harbor Hill Cup steeplechases, so all around it was more than satisfactory to own him. Aside from his major contribution to the earnings of the stable Pebeto was ably supplemented by the comfortable sums added by Martian, The Brook and Ormead, The Brook being a young foreigner of especial promise, which may develop into a celebrity in time. Two others brought from abroad, Simon Jones and Hrotherstone, were not successful this year, but should be acclimated and able to do better in their line of endeavor next year. Mr. Sages stable record is: Horse. Col. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 2d. 3d. "Won.
