Won handily; second and third driv- ing. BINGEN began slowly, but moved up fast in the stretch and held TREOWEN safe in the closing drive. The latter saved ground on the turns and finished fast. MATCHES closed a big gap and finished with a rush. PERSEVERE set the pace, but tired and swerved out. FANCY FEATHERS also tired. The winner, entered for 00, was bid up to 00 and sold to E. F. Wright.
