TURF GOSSIP FROM NEW YORK. Emil Hera has purchased a broodmare, which he will send to Kentucky to be bred to Short Grans. The transaction was made through J. Coyle. who all is figuring with Mr. Hi rz on a number of other mares on Which he has aa op linn in England. The one which changed hands recently is Quel is Lech, a chestnut mare, eight years old. by Loehryan Queen of the Plains. Bae will be shipped to Lexington with some other mares that are due from London ,..i tie Atlantic Transport liner. Manhattan.
