T Wille McPride baa his stable at the Driving Park, and they are in fine condition. His string is headed by the good three-rear-old h probate, which showed so well on the Maryland tracks last fall. Etepro bate has grown into a strong, well-finished colt, and will be a dangerous horse at Howie from the start. I.esides H probate, McHride lias seven two-year oils which are shaping up finely. A bay colt by Sain is a fine looker and will come to hand early. An imported filly, a sister to Crimper, which was purchased at the Duryeu sale at Saratoga list year. is particularly well thought of by her own- r. A racy leaking colt by P.allot. a black colt by Pick Fhiiiell. an imported colt by Maintenon M:d two grand-looking fillies, one by Sapid Water and the other by Chmtanunda. make up the Mc-Itridc two-year-old string, which he will bring to Bowie. Contrary to his usual custom. P.illy Carth will rue nothing early this year. For. la! these many years the Sage of Albemarle has been coming up from Charlottesville to Penning while the snow-was on the ground and at the Washington track has sharpened up a string of youngsters which, year after year, cirri, d off the early plums as l-gularly as the seasons rolled around. This year the amiable Virginian will be conspicuous by his absence, lie will race nothing at Howie or Havre de Grace and will ship direct irom Charlottesville to limlico. This year, however, he is coming out iu grand condition and will be heard from. Dr. Tyree has twenty head at Helming, including eight two-year-olds. Jjr. Lacrlck has charge of the stable this year and will have the horses ready for nil early Start. The pick of the two -year-olds is a c.dt by Sweep. This colt outworked everything at Washington iu his yearling trials. McLean Has Sixteen Two-Year-Olds. E. P. McLean has sixteen two-year-olds at Ben-ning besides his junipers. The two -year olds were bought of Mrs. i.i iugsteii and are |. her stallions. liiey will probably not gel an early start. The AlcLctm stable was trained last year by Lewis Carth. but this season they are in charge of Henry Craven, who trained for the late Col. Robert Ne- i!le yens ago. Freddie Williams is under contract to ride the atcLeaa jumpers. Richard F. Carman has twenty-five head at Washington and he will Ik? xvcll represented at Rowie. lie has eight or nine two-year-olds of fair promise. Mr. Carman has Imught a farm at Sandy Springs, lid., adjoining the property of Senator Rlair Lee. and will conduct his breeding operations there. He has thr ■• two-year-olds by his stallion. The Turk, at Reuning, but they are a little uinn r size. I*. Sheridan will have Rack Ray and four or five others ready for Howie.
