QUEEN VICTORIA FAVORED RACING. Victoria, the "Good Queen," held it among her official duties to concern herself with that which interested and entertained so great and influential a somber of her subjects. She maintained a successful breeding establishment, from whieh came some of the most famous nanus on the British turf. Always so loag as her health permitted, she attended, in state the racing at Ascot, the Royal Windsor meeting, and elsewhere, and was delighted when her home-bred horses triumphed, the climax being reached when the heir to the throne won the Derby twice with the wonderful brothers, Pei-im-iiiiin and Diamond Jubilee.
