INCREASE DEVONSHIRE PARK PURSES. Montreal. Quo.. April 4. — At a meeting of the directors of the Western Racing Association, which op-rates Devonshire Bark at Windsor. Out., it was decided to make the meeting as attractive as ims-sible for the beb-r lass of horses. There will lie two purs.-s each afternoon of a value of :00, three of a value of 00. one of a value of 00, and a handicap with a value of ,000. The dates of the meeting will be from Saturday, May 12. to Saturday. May 19. inclusive. The work of getting the plant and track in condition will be commenc--d as mh.ii as weather permits. The book which is being compiled by Mi rtin Nathanson. the presiding steward and racing secretary, will be ready to distribute among the horsemen within a short time.
