GIDDINGS STABLE HAS WINTERED WELL. Eight Horses Make Up the String-, Including Two Rings Plate Eligibles. Toronto. Out.. April 4. — The Giddings string at Oakville wintered well. That well known stable will again be represented on the turf this year. Trainer II. Giddings. Jr., has eight horses under his charge, two of then: Kings Platers — Captain B. and Bavarde. He expects great things of the former. He was only unplaced twice in eight starts as a two-year-old. winning three races, being second once and third twice. Bavarde is still a maielen. though she raced creditably last year, being placed twice and third many times. Hearts of Dak will again be sent over the sticks. This good campaigner is now seven years old, but is as good as ever he was. Mr. Giddings has another jumper in his stable in Opera Glass, by William Rufus — Spy Glass, of which he is proud. Opera Glass is an Irish horse and is a fine looker. The string is as follows: Hearts of Oak, 1. h. 7, by Bassetlaw— Lady Lightfoot II. Arniine. cb. f. 3. by Bassetlaw — My Honey.
