MEETING OF JOCKEY CLUB STEWARDS, New York. April 20. — At a meeting of the stewards of the Jockey Club today, there were present Messrs. F. K. Sturgis. H. K. Knapp, F. K. Hitch cock. Andrew Miller and Schuyler K. 1arsons. The following resolution was adopted: "Kesolved. That all jockey or apprentice contracts duly filed have a priority right over any contract which has not been recorded in the office of the Jockey Club." On motion duly seconded. M. M. Allen was ap-paiaaad official timer for the Jockey Tub. Many trainers and jockeys applications for licenses were granted. The application of W. H. Baker. J. B. Dunn and Fred Schelke for trainers licenses, and J. Bergi 1: and A. Matthews for jockey licenses, were denied. The application of 5. E. Phillips for a trainers license was laid on the table.
