The following new c! liming rale will undoubtedly be passed by the Kentucky Uacing Commission at its next meting. The rule will lie effective at once. Hoi-scnon ■ uw quartered at the local track are working hard for its passage, as tiny claim it is the solution of ending the bid up and claiming of horses for a profit. The proposed rub- is as follows: "In lain. ing races all horses are subject to claim by owners of horses running in the race, or their authorized agent, hut not for their own :.ccount only. A horse claimed shall not be delivered by the original owner until authorization be given by the secretary and the secretary shall rcqalre the proper amount to lie deposited with the claim mil -ss the claimant shall have the proper amount to his credit with the association. "All berses may In- claimed for the sidling price plus the gross money added by the association to the purse or stake. Each horse shall run for the account of the person in whose name it starts, but title to the claim. | horse shall be vested in the claimant fr -mi the time it leartS the paddock for the post. Brery claim must be in writing, sealed and filed with the secretary or clerk of the scales at least fifteen minutes before post time and if more than one pereea should enter claims for the same horse they shall cast lots for priority in the presence of tin- stewards or judges and the one de- termined by such lots to have right of claim Shall become the owner of the horse whether he be alive or dead, sound or unsound, or injured during the race or after it. The secretary shall not open a bid nor inform an owner that a claim has been made until after the race is run. No lierson can claim his own horse nor more than one horse. If the stewards should be of the opinion that any person is not claiming for his own account they shall require him to make an affidavit that he is doing so and if upon proof that he had made false affidavit he shall lie ruled off and prosecuted for perjury. "No horse claimed out of a sidling race shall be sold or transferred to any one within sixty 001 days of the lay it was claimed, except in another selling or claiming race, nor shall such horse remain in the same stable or under the care or management of its former owner or trainer." !
