CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. John Whalen has engaged forty -four stalls for the Wickliffe Stable at Jamaica. The stewards of the English Jockey Club give notice that for races taking place during the current season 1917 his Majestys horses will be entered and ran in the name of Lord M. Beresford. Off the White, a colt by White Eagle — Miss Cue. which won the First-Class Two-Year-Old Plate at Phoenix Park. Ireland, on Saturday. March 31. was bred at the National Stud. He was purchased by bis trainer J. Burns for forty -five guineas at the yearling sales at Newmarket lust September. TlUa is the first winner from the National Stud, which was presented to the government by Col. Hall Walker, in December, 1910.
