BURGLAR A PROMINENT PLATER. Victory Over Sandhill Last Week Was His Seventh Straight Victory. Among the most prominent pink rs running at the Pimlico meeting is Burglar, purchased by J. F. Richardson from J. G. Bnsney, who claimed the horse after he scored his seventh straight victory under E. Itterbacks colors at Pimlico last Thurs day, taking Sandhill into camp in a race at a mile and seventy yards. A peculiar feature of Burglars performance is that he started tic sensational string of victories at the same track where he scored his seventh successive victory last Thursday. Racing as a three-year-old under the cetera of G. Preeee : t Pimlico last November. Burglar won from a band of thirteen maidens in a three quarter mile race on a fast track. Two weeks later at the Bowie track he scored a neck victory over Prime Mover in a distance race of a mile and a sixteenth. His third victory was registered at Rowie on November 25 in another considerable distance race of a mile and an eighth, defeating High Tide and Devil Fish. at this time Ixing owned by E. Itterback. His last victory of the year was in a race of a mile and a quarter at Rowie on December 1. in which he defeated Dartworth by a head, repeating his performance of earlier races by slipping through in the filial eighth, always managing to bold the inside. Rurgl;:r opened his 1917 campaign under the colors of E. Itterback at Rowie on April 2. defeating Pierrot by a head. It was another race in which liurglar hung close from the start and wore Pierrot down in the final strides. This was his fifth successive victory. He had another close call on the last day of the recent Rowie meeting, nosing out Progressive after the latter had led from the start in a race of a mile and a sixteenth, this being Hurglars sixth victory. His seventh straight win. which was over Sandhill in a race at Pimlico last Thursday was the most notable of bis string. Rurglar is a bay gelding by Cyclades — Black Swan.
