THORNCLIFFE PARK MAKES STATEMENT. -SI Toronto, Ont., July 12. General Manager John " S. Berger of Thorncliffe Park issued the following statement today: "We understand Kentucky Horsemens Association, is requesting horsemen not to race at Thorncliffe Park on account of a ruling, it passed last September, not to race on any track that was not m existence prior to last September. Such action is a mistake. We raced on our mile track two years ago. We have one of the best charters in Canada, and have spent 50,000 improving the old track and it is now completed and ready for opening. It is one of the most beautiful plants in existence. We will positively race for seven days, commencing July 21. The entire Canadian executive committee of the Horsemens Association approve and endorse our track and request horsemen to race herL" ; i i i . i ! ! !
