CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Jockey S. McGraw rode three winners at Dongan Hills Saturday. Omar Khayyam has won 4,220 this season and has had his colors lowered twice as a three-year-old. Jockey W. Crump will go from Saratoga to Lexington. His apprentice allowance expires on August IS. In the first race at Dongan Hills Friday, Ready Maid started and finished last, but was omitted from the form chart and reported as having been scratched. There will be no meeting at the Hamburg track near Buffalo. The Jockey Club would not grant " dates for more than five days under the Fair regulations of the state. Eugene Leigh purchased eight yearlings at the Madden-Parmer sale at Saratoga Saturday morning. Leigh was probably acting for several of the owners, for whom he is training. Handicappers can calculate Ardents Kcnilworth time in race 34829 at. three-quarters of a mile at 1:14, instead of 1:12. the official time. Good judges who timed the race caught the slower period. M. A. Silvers is on his annual pilgrimage to the American thoroughbred yearling sales at Saratoga. Silvers usually buys the cheaper grade youngsters around the 00 mark and ships them to South America, where oftentimes they bring much larger prices than he pays for them. Thirty-five yearlings from the Ashland Stud of Thomas C. McDowell and the Mere Hill Stud of Charles W. Moore will be sold at public auction today nt the Saratoga race track. The yearlings I to be sold are the get of The Manager, McGee, Sweep. Golden Maxim, Ballot, Transvaal and several, other sires.
