THIRTY LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS. Although riding last week, leading jockey W. Crump was in eclipse and did not succeed in guiding a winner home. His nearest rival, F. Robinson, was a shade more successful in that he placed one winner to his credit. E. Taplin figured as the leader for the week with six winning mounts. Next to him came the promising lightweight, M. Rowan, with five. Buxton and But-well each were successful in four. With only one meeting of any consequence in progress this month, and only six races daily, no jockey has any great chance to advance history of races won.
