CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF.. . Three running races each day are included in the program of the California State Fair, which will begin at Sacramento, Cal. 011 September 8. . W. S. Kilmer is reported to have purchased in England a yearling colt by Bayardo, one of the greatest horses of recent years on the British turf. The yearling will be shipped to this country in the fall. , August Belmont was keenly disappointed at. the breakdown of his Trap Hock colt Deer Trap, which lie considered a high-class horse. Deer Trap was recently presented to the New York Breeding Bureau. Trainer S. C. Hildreth has bouclit from August Belmont for his own account the horses Viewpoint, Serenest, Woodtrap and Deckniate. Serenest aild Woodtrap raced in the colors of their new owner :it Saratoga yesterday. It is said that Thomas Murphy, who trained the horses of the late Herman B. Duryea in France, will handle the western division of A. K. Macomber stable, while AValter Jennings is racing the eastern division over the New York and "Maryland tracks.
