RED CROSS DAY. AT FRONTIER PARK Largest Crowd of Meeting- Turns Out Entire. Gate Receipts Go to Cheyenne Branch. Cheyenne, Wyo., .August 23. It was Red Cross day at Frontier Park and all complimentary ticuets were suspended, the majority of business houses closed their stores at the noon hour and.gave their employes an opportunity to enjoy the good program arranged by Manager Finn. The attendance, was the largest of the present meeting, far larger tliuii -that "of the .opening vliiy. The Cheyenne Thoroughbred Breeders Association turned over the entire gross receipts of the. gate to the. local Red Cross fund. Archie Alison, who is president of the. Red Cross in Cheyenne and John Talbott, treasurer of the- Racing Association, Jiave worked industriously, to make the .day -a big success. Their efforts with the cooperation of the Business Mens Association, making it a half holiday, resulted in .the Red Cross receiving a tidy sum. II. Tullett. who trained and rode Jiis own hordes, was indefinitely suspended by the stewards for an unsatisfactory ride On Henry Walbarik iit the seventh race yesterday. Tullett was given permission to dispose of his horses and tliis morning sold Henry Walbank and IKkagaih to Irwin Bros, at private terms.
