J. W. SCHORR ARRIVES AT LEXINGTON Will Race Twelve of His Horses at Kentucky Association Track Latest Gossip and Work-Outs. Lexington, Ky., September 3. John W. Schorr and Mrs. Schorr arrived here this morning from Saratoga, having motored through. Upon his arrival Mr. Schorr was handed a telegram to the effect that his horses would leave Saratoga tonight. "Maybe," said the veteran turfman, "Ill be better satis-fled about that when I see those horses iin Kentucky. That car shortage in the east makes nothing certain about shipping." Mr. Schorr said he had not been successful in his turf operations at Saratoga this year and added philosophically; "We cant have every year a winning year, .for, if we did, there would be no winning years for some other fellow." He will bring twelve horses to Lexington, but Cudgel and Harry Kelly, he said, may not be among them. Those horses are doing well now, hut their owner is of a mind to defer their starting until the Douglas Park meeting. Messrs. Phil T. Chinn, Howard Oots and John O. Whitlow and their wives, also returned to Lexington this morning from Saratoga. Their horses they hope will follow them shortly. Al Austin will be. here in. a .day or two from Louisville with six horses, one of which is5 Charles E. Mickelwaits Sands of Pleasure, a useful racer. Tex Fornian came in this morning from Latonia witli Tom Anderson and. Shin Stone, the property of W. II. Baker. The Baker horses will be here from Saratoga when they can get a ear. Jockeys M. Garner. W. Kelsay and W. Lilly arrived this morning from Saratoga, Garner motored down with his brother Wayne. Kelsay reported to Will Perkins. Expect One Hundred Horses from Louisville. Judge Will II. Shelley returned this morning from a visit to Louisville. He says there will be approximately 100 horses to come, from Douglas Park and Churchill Downs. A telegram from Charles II. Hughes is to the effect that the Beverwyck Stable will not 1m? represented here this fall. . A. Bianchi may not." start Lucky B. in the Breeders Futurity, but the youngster looks good these days. So does Kedlaud. . , Walter Graters.has opened a publiestuble. and is training. Snowdrift and several yearlings. John McCnbe has recovered from his . injury and, will ride at the local .meeting, for Jefferson Liv-r ingston. The track was fast this morning and a number of interesting moves were noted. The best were: Marion Goosby Mile in 1:40; Clare Mile" in 1:44; Margaret N.
