CHEYENNES LARGEST ATTENDANCE Big Holiday Crowd Watches Say Take the Main Race of the Afternoon. Cheyenne, Wyo., September 3. Excursions on lines within the radiiis of one hundred miles were run and they brought people from Denver, Lurimic, Casper, Douglas and .various other points." The working public of Cheyenne came out in fiill force to enjoy the days sport. The big stand w;as taxed to its capacity, while the letting ring was jammed, making it rather uncomfortable at times to get around. The principal feature of the days card was the Labor Day Handicap, with a value of ,000. There wore eight entries, with two different stables sending two representatives to the post. F. Dahn-ken, with Broomsodge and Alhena; W. C. Apple-gate with Art Kick and Louise Paul. Trainer Early AVright declined the issue with George Wing-fields sterling little horse Slippery Elm, but sent the filly Minnow to the gate. C. B. Johnson furnished the winner witli Say, which had no trouble in defeating his opponents and made a new track record for the meeting. The stewards set down jockey W. Taylor for the rest of the meeting for rough riding on Gift.
