STORM DETERS CHEYENNE PATRONS Smallest Crowd of the Meeting Present Edmond Adams Disappoints His Backers. Cheyenne, Wyo., September 5. Threatening weather with strong flashes of lightning and heavy thunder came up just at the time the racing patrons commenced to start for the track. The storms that occur here have a strong tendency to keep the local public from coming out to view the sport, consequently the attendance was affected, this afternoon. The storm passed over as the horses were at the post for the first race, only a slight sprinkle of rain fell, which benefitted the track considerably and a bright, clear sun shone for the remainder of the afternoon. Edmond Adams was backed into an odds-on favorite in the fourth race and he greatly disappointed his admirers as lie was not even placed. He showed no seed whatever in the early stages, but closed fast when the race was over. Panha-"e7iapl7 the winner, displayed dazzling speed and won in a canter.
