CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Post time of race 30539 should read 4:57 at 5, instead of 5:00 at 2, as printed. Twenty-eight stake races decided during the present year, netted the winners 5,000 or more each. Of this number seven were worth over 0,000 each to the winner. Frank Itray, who trained for A. L. Aste during the past year, will not be connected with that establishment next year. His successor has not as yet been named. It is rumored that James ltutler will have a new trainer for his extensive racing establishment before the opening of the metropolitan racing season of 1918. Report has it that J. McCormack has severed his connection witli the ltutler stable. Jefferson Livingston has returned to New York from Washington and is sard will spend the greater part of the winter in the metropolis. Livingstons horses are in winter quarters at Churchill Downs and none will be raced until the opening of the Kentucky spring season.
