RAIN FALLS AT ORIENTAL PARK Mud Runners Svreop the Card Further Entry of Ocean Prince Ordered Refused. Havana. Cuba, December 18. The races at Oriental Park this afternoon were run over a heavy track. Horses displaying a partiality for muddy going were in their element, the winners of all six races being pronounced mud runners. After the third race heavy showers fell, but despite the unpleasant weather, a surprisingly large attendance turned out and speculation was keen. Backers of favorites fared poorly in the first three races, outsiders winning all of them. Dude, a field horse in the mutuels. was successful in the oiening dash, while Rhyme easily accounted for the second race of the day. Victrola and Kneelet were equal choices in the third, but the filly Ruth Strickland dominated the running and gamely outstayed them both, but in a closely contested finish. The only favorites to score during the afternoon were Early Sight in the fourth and Tito in the closing dash. Both victories were easily achieved. Beautv Spots success in the fifth race marked a sensational finish on the part of the three-year-old The Commoner filly over Lytle and Ed Garrison. Beginning this afternoon, there will be continuous racing seven days a week and including Monday. January 7. Thereafter there will be racing every day except Tuesday during the balance of the meeting. The sudden improvement shown by M. J. Dalys Ocean Prince on Sunday resulted in notice being issued by the stewards notifying the secretary to refuse that horses entry for the rest of the meeting for inconsistent running. The plater Olin G., while being galloped yesterday morning, ran into the fence and injured himself so severely, that he died. The filly Narcissius also met with an accident while on the track, breaking her leg and was destroyed. A. L. Austin saddled two of the days winners. Jockey W.
