DECKHAND raced in the middle of the track all the way and covered more ground than the winner. WORLDS WONDER tired as if short after setting the early pace. The latter -worked his way up on the inside, squeezed through between ED GARRISON and BEAUTY SPOT at the finish and probably -was best. ED GARRISON showed the most early speed, but tired.
