i i GOVERNMENT. MAY USE BENNING TRACK New York, December 18. There is a well-founded rumor in circulation here that the government may take over the old Benning track, .near Washington, for military purposes. Fifty per cent of all the gentlemen riders registered with the National Hunts Association, are in the service doing active duty, among that number were eight aviators, four of whom have already been killed, including Norman Prince and B. Blake-man Lewis, who were killed in France; A. P. Humphrey, who met his death in Texas and W. Bisham, who had a fall in Canada which proved fatal.
