SUN BRIAR SOON TO COME WEST Trainer McDaniel Expects to Have Kilmer Horses at Churchill Downs About January 15. Louisville, Ky., December 18. Thomas Young, track superintendent at Churchill Downs, lias been notified by trainer Henry McDaniel, who has charge of Willis Sharpe Kilmers horses at Binghamton, N. Y.. that Sun Briar, the champion two-year-old of the year and about a dozen other horses would reach the Downs alwut January 15, reservations for which were made some time ago. Sun Briar will be pointed for the Kentucky Derby nnd his presence here the next four months will focus the attention of the turf world to Louisvilles historic course. Sun Briar has grown considerably since his retirement after winning the Hopeful Stakes at Saratoga last summer and trainer McDaniel is confident that the colt will develop into a grand three-year-old. Mr. Kilmer has twelve yearlings already stabled here and with the arrival of Sun Briar and his stablemates, the establishment will be one of the largest at the Downs.
