FIRST TWO-YEAR-OLD STAKE OF YEAR List of Nominations to Aberdeen Stakes to Be Decided at Havre de Grace Monday. Next Monday at Havre de Grace the firs-t two-year-old stake of the year will Is- decided. It is the Aberdeen Stakes, to which eighty-three p-omising youngsters were named, including a number of highly thought of foreign-bred colts and fillies. J. J.Timmermnn heads the list of nominators with ten. H. P. Whitney has named six, J. K. L. Ross four. Km i I Herz. Glen Riddle Farm. G. A. Cochran and J. Murphy three each, while there ure quite a few with two each. A number of the eligibles to this stake have already faced the starter, both at Bowie and Havre de Grace. Lewis Garths Agnes Cook has started twice and won both races, although she was disqualified after her first winning effort lieeause of non-registration. In her second race she acted quite unruly while going to the post and in her plunging and jumping got caught on the outer fence and it was all of five minutes before she could be extricated. The mishap did not prevent her from winning the race, but afterwards she was found to be badly bruised and may not b»- able to start for some time. She is, however, entered today and if she starts and shows no ill effects from her escapade of a few days ago. it is certain that her owner will send her to the post in the Aberdeen Stakes. Another filly among the eligibles to the Aberdeen which has started, is the extremely fast Fannie Mehan. This daughter of Beach Comber, the first of his get to race, came to Bowie with the reputation of being the fastest youngster trained nt the old Benning track and in her first and only start at that track, confirmed the training reports by winning and smashing the half mile record of that course by running the distance in 4HT"3. • R. F." Carman has an Incle Ally named Auntie among the nominations that has scored in her two starts and apjs-ars quite promising. Of the Whitney eligibles Blue Laddie ami Cresson won at the tlrst asking. Pibroch, a foreign-bred in the stable of W. Vian. is reported to be in first-ciass condition and is said to be a fine specimen of a thoroughbred.
