SAVE PIMLIC0 TRACK FOR RACING Frick Bill Is Signed by Governor — Bowie Anti-Betting and Commission Bills Vetoed. Baltimore. Md.. April L." . — Governor Harrington yesterday signed the Frick bill, which will ] er-mit tlie continuation of racing at Fimlico after Baltimore citys limits are extended. The Frick •ill was one of but five bills signed by the governor yesterday, while he was vetoing fifty-nine others. Tne governor, however, carried out his announced intention of vetoing not only the anti-betting bill for Prince Georges County, but the Prince Georges Hacing Commission bill as well. The result is that the county will lose the .~t a day license fee it exjiected to derive from the Bowie track, while the directors of the track will continue to have to go to the courts to get permission to conduct their meetings. Inder the Frick bill racing at rhnlicn will and conducted in the future uuder the supervision of the Baltimore County Racing Commission, although that part of Baltimore County in which the track is located will become a part of Baltimore citv on .lanuarv 1. This bill was passed because the • itv charter prohibits racing within the city limits.
