FREDERICK JOHNSONS TWO-YEAR-OLDS Baltimore. Md., April 25.— The most promising of the two-year-olds bv the young Peep oDay stallion. Cock o the Walk, that William Martin is training at Pimlico for Frederick Johnson, is Cock o* the Main. This youngster is a strapping bay. of uniform muscular development and fine balance. The trainers who watched his schooling at Hot Springs declare he could go a quarter in 24 seconds or better as far back us the middle of March. Cock o the Main is a son of the young Hamburg mare. Private Flag, whose dam was Privateer, a daughter of Meddler and Longshore. Cock o the Main is in the Spring Juvenile, which will lx» the principal two-vear-old feature at Pimlico. with nek o the Gun. which claims Hammer-less, a daughter of Hamburg — Trigger, for dam. This one. also, is bred in the purple. f°r Trigger was a daughter of Royal Gun, the dam of Gunfire. ■ Metropolitan and Municipal Handicap winner. Mr. Johnson, however, will not depend altogether on these home-bred youngsters at Pimlico. He has promising two-year-olds in His Sister, a chestnut daughter of Uncle — Ballymcna; Over the Top. a bay son of Llangwm — French Essex, and Ros-agine. a brown daughter of Ramrod — Reine des Rosea. Over the Top and Rosagine are foreign-bred youngsters. Martin lias some two -year -olds of his own. also the three-year-old Sunny Slope, a chestnut son of Astronomer — Neva W.. and Happy Valley, a bay son of Plaudit — Top All, which he is training for the Preakness along with Mr. Johnsons three-year-old gelding Cousin o* Mine. He has not sent these Preakness candidates fast yet. but they can run. Cousin o Mine was the only two-year-old of last year of the Johnson -Billings partnership Mr. Johnson retained when the stable was dispersed at Belmont Park last June, and Omar Khayyam went under the hammer to Wilfrid Viau. Man o the Hour to Maj. Ral Parr and Enfilade to Morton L. Schwartz.
