SAYS KAY SPENCE IS NOT GUILTY Lexington. Ky.. May 3.— At the meeting of the Kentucky State Hacing Commission, held here last Wednesdav, during the hearing of the case of Kay S|M-iice, who had been previously denied a trainers license. J. J. OMalley voluntarily appeared before the commission and confessed to have written the letters soliciting bets, for which Spencc was placed under the ban. OMalley acknowledged that he had signed the name of Sm-nce to these letters without the authorization of that traiuor. OMalley was asked if he would make affidavit to that effect, which he readily consented to do. The commission will give Spenee another heating next Monday, when the case will probably be decided one way or the other. OMalley has been closely identified with the Spenee stable for several years and declares he would rather have the commission ociializc him instead of making Spenee suffer fur something of which he was entirely innocent. OMalley has always borne an excellent reputation.
