Schorrs, candidates for the Kentucky Berts;. made the work watchers at Douglas Park sit up and take notice yesterday morning when he worked •I mile and an eighth in 1:58, the liest move recorded at that track in si vera 1 weeks. The fine-looking son of Dick Finiicll covered the first mile iu lietter than 1:40 and was just cantering in the final eighth. He will lie given his next work on Sunday, when he will lie asked to traverse the Derby route of a mile and a quarter. Owner Schorr, who is now at Lexington, will come over to witness the work. All along Jas. T. Clark has been highlv regarded by his owner, who makes no secret of his faith in the colts ability to capture the highly-coveted prize. • Horsemen who have watched the colts work since his arrival from Hot Springs are Ix-ginning to realize ihat he looms up as a possibility in the Derby, lie is a corking good colt, speedy and game and much Is-tter than his races hist winter would indicate.
