June 4. — At a meeting of the directors of the Maryland Jockey Club, held at Baltimore on Motiday. June 3. plans for the autumn meeting at Pimlico were considered. It was decided that to all overnight races to 1m- run at the meeting next fall, which will Ik- held during the first two weeks in November, the added money will Ik- ,000. This decision is in line with the lilK-ral policy adopted by Marylands oldest and most influential racing organization of sharing with the horsemen whatever praaacrfty may come its way. The Mary-heal Jockey Club gave ample evidence of this last spring, when it divided the Preakm-ss Stakes into two races and added 5,000 to each event, distributing 0,000 for that one race instead of the 5,000 called for in the original conditions of the event.
