PLANNING FOR NEW ORLEANS RACING Joseph A Murphy After Horses of Better Class for Nezt Meeting at Fair Grounds St Louis Mo August 29 Kvery effort will be made next winter to make the New Orleans racing from the viewpoint of quality the greatest winter gathering in the history of the snort It will really be the first winter that the management has had a Iar field to exploit its advantages as even last winter the Supreme Court decision came after many had made plans for the winter The result was an influx of bad horses and a scare tv of the better class Joseph A Mumhy in charge of the racing Intends to remedy this He will cater largely to the better class of horses and is already taking the winter program up with horsemen who owa good horses horsesHis His first response has come from Jefferson Liv ¬ ingston Mr Livingston did not race anything last winter but contemplates doing so this year In a personal letter to Mr Murphy he has asked for stable room for from twentytwo to twentyfour horses They will be in charge of lark McConnack McConnackAn An active campaign will be waged from now on for highclass horses If the present rule against twoyearolds is rescinded the youngsters will be given every opportunity to nice and it is hoped that another Old Itosebnd or Westy Ilogan will come oat of the winter radii
