WILL ASK FOR EQUAL DATE ALLOTMENT New Orleans La September 3 Announcement is made that the Jefferson Parish Fair Association will ask an equal division of winter dates with the Business Mens Racing Association which holds forth at the Fair Grounds GroundsA A year ago the Jefferson Park track opened the season on Thanksgiving day and terminated its meeting on December 31 The Fair Grounds meet ¬ ing opened January 1 and continued until February 12 A longer season is contemplated for the coin ¬ ing campaign and Jefferson Parisli interests hold that they will be at a great disadvantage if allotted the same dates as they had a year ago agoWhile While there will probably be opposition to the demand of the Jefferson Parish interests it is be ¬ lieved a compromise will be readied that will prove satisfactory to all concerned
