CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Pepper is the only horse to win two races at the Fair Grounds since the meeting oieued on January 1. A. J. Goldsborough, trainer for Andrew Miller, has recovered from an attack of influenza and is now able to be out again. James T. Ruckley will shortly leave Detroit for Xew Orleans, where he will race Alex Getz, the only horse in his stable at the present time. A. McL. Earlocker, racing secretary of the Westchester Racing Association, who, with Mrs. Earlocker, has just returned from a trip through Kentucky, reports U narrow escape from injury when the train upon which they were riding telescoped one iu front of them shortly after they left Washington. The accident occurred at midnight and Mrs. Earlocker was thrown from her berth, but fortunately escaped injury.
