EASTERNERS SCHOOLING YOUNG HORSES NEAA YORK N Y April 21 For the past day or two trainers on the local tracks have been spend ¬ ing most of their time schooling their youngsters at the barrier Every twoyearold has had more or less barrier education the schooling ground being at the half mile post in the Belmont chute from which the youngsters start and then travel about threeeighths down the straightaway straightawayUnfortunately Unfortunately the weather has been changeable of late and this has set some of the horses back in their work especially the Hildreth string He was expected to set down his threeyearolds Purchase and Cirrus ten days ago but Hildreth is a trainer who will not take chances with a horse when the weather is not suitable hence ho is not nearly as forward as his schedule called for Tomorrow it is more than probable he will ask big horses to step along and upon their showing depends their future They may be forward enough to send either to Kentucky or Pimlico and he may not leave Belmont Park but wait until the season starts around this neighborhood Dunboyne will be asked to move liretty lively tomorrow His trainer AAil liam Hogan is mighty pleased with him and it looks as if he is pointing him for the Kentucky Derby yet he may be reserved for the Preakness Omar Khayyam and AAesty Hogau simply cantered a mile in 1411 today Both are in excellent con ¬ dition and reiidy for racing racingHerbert Herbert Temple who has the charge of the thor ¬ oughbred shipping has a number of cars on hand ready for moving at a moments notice but as yet trainers are loath to declare where they are going so much depending upon the condition of their charges By the latter end of this week they will declare their intentions
