WINDUP OF SARATOGA YEARLING SALES Eighteen Head from Beaumont Stud Realize a Total of 55300 Small Prices for Kilmer Offerings BY 3 L DEMPSEY DEMPSEYSARATOGA SARATOGA SPRINGS N Y August 16 The Beaumont Stud yearlings property of Messrs Mil ¬ ler Headley consisting of eighteen head mostly sired by Uncle from selected mares made up the principal offering at Fridays sale It was the last yearling sale to be held here this season A fashionable and representative attendance was again on hand and spirited bidding was indulged in on several occasions but the sale lacked the eager competition of its predecessors predecessorsAll All the offerings were well sold as indicated by the grand total of 55300 realized for the Beaumont consignment This was an average of slightly better than 3072 There were thirteen youngsters in the band by Uncle and they sold for a total of 10500 or an average of 3119 At ii former sale held tyo years ago by the same con ¬ signees an average of over 3000 was obtained for all the colts and fillies sired by Uncle UncleThe The star in Fridays sale was the chestnut son of the unbeaten Colin Domino Noire which was bought after sharp general bidding by W H Kar rick for 7000 7000The The best price obtained for any of the Uncles was the 6iOO that Karrick paid for the colt dam Saratoga Belle The same buyer also gave 5700 for the son of Portia Swett sired by Uncle The Ruby Nethersole filly and sired by Uncle also was secured by W H Karrick on his bid of 3600 3600S S D Riddle was also an extensive buyer at the sale and contended steadily for the best offerings
