KENTUCKYS SPLENDID FALL PROGRAM Twelve Slakes with 74500 Added Provided for the Three Meetings of the Kentucky Jockey Club CINCINNATI O August 1C Tlie Kentucky Jockey Club will add 74500 to its stake races to lie run at Lexington Latonla and Louisville this coming fall This amount is divided between twelve stakes to be run in thirtyeight days Entries to nil except three of these events close Wednesday August 20 and from reports received at the Cov inglon office of the Jockey Club there will be more entries to these stakes than was ever received for fill races in Kentucky KentuckyThe The large entry list is in a measure due to the Lutonia Championship Stakes which has its initial running this jear Entries to tills race closed three years ago but many eastern stables which have horses entered and intend to start are making lib ¬ eral entries in the other stakes intending to bring more than one horse out These stables probably will put in the entire meeting at Latonia as the stake races are so superior in value to those run in the east or in Maryland that they just cannot afford to overlook them especially as they are on the ground The three stakes which are already closed are the breeders Futurity to be run at Lexington the Latonia Championship and the Queen City Handi ¬ cap a twoyearold race at one mile with 10000 added addedla la addition to the stake races to be run during the fall meeting the daily purse offerings will reach close to the 10000 mark This will be surpassed at Latonia but Lexington and Louisville will pull the average down to that figure This means 380000 more for the horsemen These meetings easily will be the banner autumn meetings ever given in Kentucky and the total added money to the horsemen will be as much as was given for sixty days racing in the spring springPREPARING PREPARING FOR BIGGEST CROWD OF TEAR TEARThe The Latonia Championship Stakes will be run during the hitter part of the Latonia meeting Manager Wiim is making preparations for housing the big ¬ gest crowd ever seen at Latonia and is rearranging I lie plant so that it can take care of such a crowd No radical improvements will be made at thq La ¬ tonia course until after the fall meeting If this meeting holds up as well as is expected turfmen can look for great improvements during the winter months for then work can be undertaken with plenty of time to complete it for the contractors will have until June to get the plant in condition conditionThe The stakes to be run next fall follow followLexington Lexington Cup Handicap one mile and a half 5000 added addedBreeders Breeders Futurity 5000 added closed closedFt Ft Thomas Handicap for twoyearolds three quarters 4000 added to be run at Latonia LatoniaAutumn Autumn Handicap for threeyearolds and over threequarters 5000 added to be run at Latonia LatoniaLatonia Latonia Handicap for threeyearolds and over one mile and a sixteenth 5000 added to be run at Latonia LatoniaTwin Twin City Handicap for threeyearolds and over inn mile and fiveeighths 5000 added to be run at Latnnia LatnniaLatonia Latonia Cup threeyearolds and over two miles and a quarter 7500 added to be run at Latonia LatoniaQueen Queen City Handicap for twoyearolds to be run at Latonia closed closedLatonia Latonia Championship Stakes for threeyearolds one mile and threequarters 15000 added to be run at Latonia 7 olden Rod Handicap for twoyearolds one mile 4000 added to be run at Churchill Downs DownsFall Fall City Handicap for three year olds and over one mile and a sixteenth 4000 added to be run it Churchill Downs DownsLouisville Louisville Cup for threeyearolds and over two miles 5000 added to be run at Churchill Downs DownsEntries Entries from horsemen will be solicited at Sara ¬ toga Lexington Louisville and Latonia
