LOVERS LANE II. showed the most speed for a half, but tired. BETSINDA, hard ridden from the start, held on gamely in the stretch. EASTERN GLOW linished resolutely. Won driving; second and third the same. FAIRY WAND moved, up gamely after entering the homestretch and, holding on gamely under vigorous riding, outstayed ORMONDA in the linal drive. ORMONDA, under slight, restraint in the early running, saved ground when entering the stretch and moved up fast at the eighth post, but tired in the closing strides. TERENTIA gained steadily and easily disposed of the others. HERODIAS retired in the last quarter. PASSING SHOWER was hard ridden, but lacked speed. THISTLEDON set a good pace under slight restraint in the early running and won all the way. but took matters too easy in the last eighth and almost lost the race. SASIN raced in close pursuit of the leader throughout and, linishlng gamely under punishment, would have won in a few more strides. AFRICAN ARROW was beaten throughutit. TIPPITY. WITCHET. on the inside all the way, linished gamely under punishment, but could not overtake the winner. TICKLISH was always a forward, contender, but tired in the stretch drive. AVAR GOD finished resolutely. RINDING TIE set a good pace, but tired in the last eighth. TICKET finished gamely. MANAGER WAITE ran poorly. Scratched 4310SLucullite, 130; 43444 Escoba. Start good and slow. AAon driving; second and third the same. ROCKPORT moved up steadily on the outside stud, finishing with a rush through the stretch, outstayed MISS KRUTER in the final drive. The latter raced in close pursuit of DIMITRI in the early running and took the lead on the stretch turn, but tired in the closing strides. STARTER, on the outside when entering the homestretch, swerved over at the eighth post, causing DIMITRI and . GOLDAALE to pull up and was disqualified. DIMITRI set a good pace and was taken back, then moved up fast in the stretch, but was crowded to the inside rail. CAPT. HODGE gradually improved his position from a slow beginning. COL. AALENTINE ran fairly well. GOLDAALE was cased up after the interference. JOHN P. GRIER had to be hard ridden to keep up with the leaders in the early running, but came to the outside in the stretch and finished rapidlv when put under punishment. PADRIAC was a forward contender till the way r.nd raced AAEDDING CAKE into defeat, but tired after taking the lead. SERAICE STAR, shuffled back at the start, finished with a rush.
