HUNTING, FISHING AND SPORT While fishing recently at Loon Lake, Oscar Fall of Spokane landed an eighteen-pound Mackinaw trout. Two fishermen of Stillwater, Minn., recently seined 1,200 pounds of rough fish out of Lake Croix. AAord from Arkansas is to the effect that the prospects are good for some fine shootin g during the autumn season. The wife of an army officer stationed at Camp Meade recently landed a rockfish weighinir nine and three-quarter pounds, the largest of that species caught in the vicinity of Washington thus year. Pennsylvania sportsmen are anticipating :i good autumn season of hunting. Reports continue to indicate a goodly number of yoiuig grouse and a bijj increase in deeV in the districts -where this species of game thrives. SAN FRANCISCO, Cal., August 2S.L-A Iacific buck weighing 14S pounds was killed by E. E. Horrigan of San Jose at Gilroy Hot Springs. Another Pacific buck weighing 142 pounds was killed by G. L. Anderson of Salinas. The four-pointer, weighing 155 pounds, was killed by" George Roop of San Francisco. These deer were ull .killed on the same day Avithin three miles ol Gilroy Hot Springs. ,
