LATONIA9 S GREATEST AUTUMN SEA-SON OF KACING .OVER 00,000 DISTRIBUTED IN STAKES AND PURSES WITH A RECORD-BREAKING DAILY AVERAGE OF 4,383 The Latonia fall meeting, held under the auspices of the Kentucky Jockey Club, was by far the most successful eTer held in the Blue Grass state at this time of the year. It was marked by the first running of the Latonia Championship Stakes of the net value to the winner of 5,090 and the decision of six other richly endowed events, not one of them worth le3s than ,000 to the winner. A record in daily average distribution was established, the goodly sum of 4,383 being the dully average for the twenty-two days of racing. Altogether there were 154 races decided and 16,432 distributed in stakes and purses. Tiie attendance was of large proportions despite a week or more of unfavorable weather. Enthusiasm ran high and the racing proved interesting at all times. Eastern owners took the lions share of the spoils. S. C. Hildreth, by virtue of Mad Hatters victory in the Latonia Championship Stakes, being the chief money winner among the owners, with J. S. Hawkins, the Ogden Stable and O. M. Garrison following in the order named. Others to fare well were Gallaher Bros.. M. Goldblatt, G. W. Loft, C. C. Van Meter, E. H. Taylor, Jr., and B. J. Bran-non.
