PREDICT GREAT MEETING AT CHURCHILL LOUISVILLE, Ky., October 20. "The greatest autumn race meeting in the long history of the Churchill Downs track will be ushered in Thursday afternoon," predicted Charles V. Grainger of the Kentucky Jockey Club yesterday. "Racing has come into its own in this state. The wholesome manner in which the sport lias been conducted by the Kentucky Jockey Club, its liberality toward the horsemen and its efforts to provide the highest caliber of competition for the public have placed racing in this section on a plane never before attnined. Just as every meeting this year has eclipsed previous ones, so will the autumn meeting at the Downs surpass all former fall meetings at this track."
