Won easing up; second and third driving. AMERICAN SOLDIER, under slight restraint in the early running, took an easy lead in the stretch and won eased up. EASTERN GLOW was badly outrun for the first half, but finished fast on the outside and outstayed BELGIAN QUEEN in the final drive. The latter raced on the inside all the way. but tired in the final drive. LOCUST LEAVES tired after showing the most early speed. LARGHETTO quit badly after taking the lead in the homestretch. WAR MACHINE ran fairly well. DAY-DUE was crowded back when going to the first turn and never recovered.
