, McClelland yearlings at laurel LAUREL, Md., October 24. Forty-seven yearlings, the property of James W. McClelland, arrived at Havre de Grace yesterday. They were shipped from Saratoga, where the final trials of the youngsters were held before being retired into winter quarters. The consignment wss shipped in three cars, in charge of Mr. McClelland, their owner, and Charles Hughes, their trainer. Some of them will be sent to New Orleans to race at the winter meetings at that point. Mr. McClelland was a visitor at Laurel this afternoon and expressed himself as well pleased witli the young racers, as some have shown flattering trials and warrant the assertion that they will develop into high-class racers.
