RULING COVERING COUPLING OF HORSES LAUREL, Md., October 24. The Laurel management announced a new ruling in regard to coupling horses in the mutuel betting. In the future all horses trained by the same trainer will be coupled, jio matter in whose interest they may run. This ruling was probably made for the reason that it has been common gossip that certain owners have been racing their horses in the names of different men, and in some cases as many as three horses supposedly owned by one man started in the same race.
