ALL NOT WELL AT DEVONSHIRE PARK John Lumsden Resigns as President and Dr Reume Another Canadian May Also Retire WINDSOR Out July 14 At a meeting of the directors of the Western ISacing Association held at the Crawford House in Windsor on Monday follow ¬ ing the close of the Devonshire meeting John Lumsden the wellknown lumber merchant of Ottawa and a wellknown Canadian turfman tendered his resignation as president of the or ¬ ganization The meeting was attended by a full board of directors and influence was brought to bear on Mr Lumsden to reconsider his determina ¬ tion to sever his connections with the club It was of no avail however The management of the organization was not conducted according to Mr Lumsdcns ideas and there is said to have been some little friction between Bradley Wilson and others of the directors It is said that Dr Reume another Canadian director of the club contemplates retiring which will leave the board without any Canadian directors It is said that It J Macken ¬ zie may succeed Mr Lumsdeu as president of the club The meeting is said to have shown a net profit of something like 100000
