PAUL JONES TO RACE AT SARATOGA NEW YORK N Y July 14 William Garth will leave for Saratoga this week with the rratir part of tiie stables cf Hal Parr and 1 A Cosden of Baltimore He will tale with him for his son Lewis A 1C Maeomliors twoyearold The Bohemian which was injured so badly when he fell just as the horse racing in the Groat Amer ¬ ican Stakes at Aqueduct wore finishing He wilt not be able to race again before autumn Such of the horses of the Iarr stable s will race at Yonkers will be under the charge of Lewi Garth who will race with them such of the stable of Mr Macombcr as are in form formPaul Paul Jcncs anil Blazes re the most famous horses of the Parr stable that are going to Sara ¬ toga They are training satisfactorily again and both will be in form by the first of August Blazes was knocked out by his rushed preparation for the Kentucky Irby and tin Preakiiess Strikes He was not ready for hard work when this Garth took him up in early April as was Paul Jones his more successful stable companion Paul Jones had been running out in the paddocks of the Garth farm all winter with other hor es Blazes being a stallion and a lusty crc at that had to be kept l It was at Saratoga last summer that Blazes first attracted attention by winning the Grab Bag Handicap Afterward he went to Lexington and won the Breeders Futurity lie was always a faster horse in work than Paul Jones aud Mr Garth believes that he will prove at Saratoga that he is as fast a racer as is the son ot Sea King May Florence also that he will stay as far as the next threeyearold Paul Jones must do his running at the Springs in handicaps Blazr is lit the Miller the Travels and the Saratoga Cup as well as the handicap handicapSome Some Baby a Theo Cook colt and Musty an UHimus tclt are the Parr candidates for the Im ¬ pending Saratoga Special Tidings the best youngster of the establishment is in most cf the other twoyearold stakes The elder Garth ex ¬ pects to do well at Saratoga with the jumpers Midas II Queen of the Sea and Ticket
