TROPHIES FOR COLORED FAIR RACES LEXINGTON. Ky.. August 12. In the window of a local jewelry store today were put on display eleven handsome silver trophies, which were donated to the Lexington Colored Fair Association by "the following: Messrs. Edward Beal McLean, for the Cincinnati Enquirer; Thomas C. McDowell, Ashland Stud; Hal Price Headley, Beaumont Farm; Willis Shnrpe Kilmer, Sun Briar Court; Robert L. Baker, for King Gorin Purse; John E. Madden, Hamburg Place; Col. W. E. Applogato. for Jack Hare Jr. Quickstep Purse; Major August Belmont. Nursery Stud; Emil Herz, Short Grass Stud; E. B. Bradley, Idle Hour Farm, aiid W. V. Thraves, Longrldge Nursery. Tlie trophies are to be given in addition to liberal purses for the thirty races to be decided during the six days of the fair, which will begin next Monday.
