WINNER OF SOUTH AFRICAN STAKES At the Milnerton meeting in South Africa on May 20 the Ascot Handicap of ,125 was won by the seven-year-old mare On the Rocks, by Bret-tenham Crazy Jane. She was bred by Mr. J. 3. Parkinson at the Maddenstown Stud, Curragh, Ireland, and, singularly enough, each 6f- the first four in that race was the property of Mr. Parkinson before he sold them to go abroad.
