LAUREL STAKE NOMINATIONS! Total of 1,025 Entries Received for the Feature Races, with a Steeplechase Event Bringing Out 108. BALTIMORE. Md., September 10. A total of 1,025 entries was received for the nine" stakes to be run during the October meeting at Laurel. This is an increase of over 200 more than was received for the same stakes last year. The Laurel Stakes ct S10.000 added attracted the largest entry list, -with the National and Manor next in order. Probably the greatest array of entries ever received for a steeplechase stake race in tliHs country was when the Fatuxent Handicap of ,000 added received 108 nominations.
