Won easily; second and third driving. VENAL JOY took a quick lead and easily won all the way. MUSKET ran well and finished gamely under a drive. DANDY closed a big gap and outstayed AVEINLAND. PIT was not hurried in the early running and saved ground on the turns, then finished -with a good burst of speed on the outside of the leaders and got up to win in the final -strides. AVOODTHRUSH was much used in the early running in racing With SEMPER STALWART and tired, but finished gamely. BUCKBOARD tired after taking the lead at the eighth post. SEMPER STALWART set a good pace, but swerved out when entering the homestretch and tired.
